Dr. Barrow is a native of Georgia. He received his medical degree in 1974 from the University of Alabama. His internship was in Internal Medicine at Rutgers University. Dr. Barrow served his OB-GYN residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. He joined the practice in 1979. Dr. Barrow is a member of the American College of OB-GYN, the American Medical Association, and county and state medical societies. He has been Chairman of the OB-GYN Department at Spartanburg Regional and President of the Spartanburg County OB-GYN Society. Dr. Barrow has received national recognition as a teacher and was the Teacher of the Year for Spartanburg Regional Medical Center's Family Practice Residency program in 1995. He ceased obstetrics in July 2000 and concentrates full time on gynecology, infertility, gynecologic surgery, women's healthcare, and medical education. He and his wife, Susan, have two children Trey and Lori.
